This is me...I was raised in Portland,Maine for the first eight years of my life.Then moved to a very rural town of Otis Maine. It was there that I got my love for country music.The first record I ever got was titled "THIS IS JOHNNY CASH."I was hooked.... Johnny Cash was country music to me! I have been a Johnny Cash fan ever since. Johnny has always been my "HERO" but other stars of the day I enjoyed were Merle Haggard, Ernie Ashworth, Buck Owens, Bill Anderson etc .At this time local T V. had a country music show called The Curley O'Brien Show.That's were I first saw "Doc" Morrill ."Doc" was the front man for Curley's band.He played guitar and sang...What a wonderful show that was...... Now "Doc" is my radio partner! My other interests are collecting Johnny Cash memorabilia, traveling with my family, WWF wrestling, collecting country music books and playing my guitar(badly). I also,have a love for the Indie country music artists too.When I took over the radio show I have now,the Indie artist's weren't being played.Then through Grand Ole Opry great Ernie Ashworth I met Paul Mateki, Woody Wills, Antonio Rosales and Sylvia Winters.From there I've met so many talented Indie artists.I promise to promote the country music Indie artist as long as I have a radio show.I only have one rule "Keep it Country" like the ledgend's before you. I only play traditional country music on the "DOWN HOME COUNTRY SHOW." One more thing I want to add...I never do a show without playing a Johnny Cash song!
