Article II: The Executive Branch


Primaries: voters select their party's delegates to the national convention
Convention: the party nominates its candidate for President. (nomination usually reflects primary results)
Election: people choose electors who select the President

Key Components of the Presidency:
 

  1. 1. cabinet: the President's advisory board. They are selected by the President and confirmed by the Senate
  2. 2. If the President becomes unable to fulfill his duties, the Vice-President shall take over. If the Vice-President cannot take over, then the Speaker of the House shall take over.
  3. 3. The Vice-President also serves as the President of the Senate. If there is a tie, the Vice-President must cast a vote to break the tie.
