MEET THE DAVIES

Welcome...and Thank you for visiting our web page. We are a family of four, living in Ontario, Canada. Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves.

KRISTINA (nee. LAMB)
I am a full time home maker raising both children and dogs. I have been involved in obedience training and conformation showing with the dogs and was getting into herding prior to our move to Manitoba in the summer of 2000, and subsequent move to Ontario in 2004. Dogs have been my passion for my entire life, and I enjoy any and all activities that involve them. My parents bought a Scottish terrier when I was four years old, and he became my guinea pig as I practiced dog grooming and training as I was growing up. Not an easy breed to start training with, but with much persistance I taught him basic obedience, some agility, and even to pull a small tobaggon around. Since that time, I have owned an Alaskan Malamute/Golden Retriever cross, Sheba, a registered Alaskan Malamute, Thor, who gave me the show bug, and now my German Shepherds. Over the years, I have done some dog sledding, agility, tracking, and protection work, as well as obedience training and conformation show handling.

Some of my other interestes are my favourite British Soap Coronation Street, Woodworking and various crafting projects. I grew up in Thompson and The Pas, Manitoba, Canada and have also lived in Brandon and Shilo, Manitoba, Petawawa, Ontario, Lahr, Germany, and Chilliwack, British Columbia, Winnipeg, Manitoba and now Trenton Ontario.

MARK
I was born and raised in Brandon,Manitoba. I have also lived in Petawawa, Lahr Germany, and Shilo, Chilliwack, Winnipeg and now Trenton. I have been a member of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) since 1989, when I purchased my first registered dog. I registered my kennel name, BERGSTEIGER, upon my return from Germany in 1992. I enjoy working our dogs in tracking, protection and obedience.

Some of my other interests include skiing, photography, music of all kinds, woodworking, camping, playing hockey and now am involved in coaching with Kiefer's team.

SHELBY
Shelby is 16 years old, and is in grade 12. She is very active in school, band and drama.  She is a real little mother, and loves having puppies in the house that she can cuddle. Shelby likes working the dogs, and entered her first Junior Handling competition in September 1997 at the Mount Cheam Kennel Club dog show in Chilliwack, BC. She handled Tonga in the ring and they did great. In September of 98 she handled CeeJay at the same club's show. I was so proud of both of them. You can see them in our Activities Page

KIEFER
Kiefer is 14 years old....boy how time flies..... His first word was "Rocky", and they had a special bond since Kiefer was born. Rocky would follow Kiefer as he crawled around the house, and lick him from one end to the other.
Kiefer enjoys any type of sports that involve either a ball or a puck. He plays rep hockey as a goalie, and that seems to take up all of our families time now.... We have since decided to take a bit of a break from the dog scene, but will return once the kids don't need us quite so much.
