Khao Hin Son Agricultural Research and Development Study Center.
It is one Phanom Sarakham - Kabin Buri Road between Km. 51 and 52 near Tambon Khao Hin Son and Tambon Ko Khanum, Amphoe Phanom Sarakham, Chachoensao, and occupies and area of 1,929 rai (about 770 acres). Khao Hin Son is a hill having while sandy rocks thickly dotting the landscape and is one of the beautiful places in Chachoensao. Within the area of the center are Phra Bowon Shrine ; King Phra Pin Klao Monument located in the botanical garden zone ; fast growing tree garden zone; crop cultivation experimental plots; fishery and livestock demonstrations; occupational training at the Special Folk Arts and crafts Center under H.M. the Queen's patronage. The royal idea of the present king originated the establishment of this Khao Hin Son Agricultural Research and Development Study Center.

His Majesty the King, in the year A.D. 1979, graciously gave sanction to the establishment of Khao Hin Son Agricultural Research and Development Study Center on a 1,167 rai tract of land, which had earlier been generously presented to His Majesty by a group of land owners.
Following the Royal instigation of His Majesty the King, the centre has been established as an experiment project, where various governmental agencies concerned with agricultural problems are allotted with a plot of land in order to study issues ranging from water resources development and reafforestation programmes to animal husbandry. Private non-governmental enterprises also assist by contributing equipments and other construction materials. It is His Majesty's ardent with that the farmers could come to observe and be instruted in the use of the lastest agricultural techniques and technologies so that they would know how best to utilize these tools to its fullest extent, in application with the natural resources of the nation.
In this section of the Khao Hin Son Agricultural Research and Development Study Center which is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Community Development, Ministry of Interior, a model village has been established with examples of kitchen garden vegetable plots, rice fields, woodlands of rapid growth trees for use as firewood, groves of bamboos for basketry weaving and mulberry plots for sericulture.
In addition, various ways to fertilize the soil by employing manure, vegetable compost and chemical fertilizers are slso tried out. This particular section of the project also receives supports and assistances from the Land Development Department, the Royal Irrigation Department and the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operatives.
Instructions and training for farmers and agricultural extension workers are given maby times a year at the Khao Hin Son Agricultural Research and Development Study Center. All the facilties of the centre are utilized and upon completion of the courses, those in attendance are given seeds and saplings as well as offspring of livestock to take back to their villagers in order to improve the strain of their plants and herds.
On August 3rd. A.D. 1981, while visiting the Khao Hin Son Agricultural Research and Development Study Center, His Majesty the King graciously donated some hogs to farmers who had came to be trained at the centre. These were the offspring of the ones which had originally been presented to His Majesty by a group of well-wishers.
