I've known you for quite a while, lost contact with you, remet you, talked for a short time, you sent me a demo; can you tell me about Almighty Sathanas?
Almighty Sathanas is one man's black metal project from Greece. It started in March 2004 and the demo CD was released in January 2005. It has three songs of raw black metal. This band was formed to spread antichristian and misanthropic hate.
In Almighty Sathanas, you go under the musician name, Shemhamforash, can you explain the meaning of this name?
Aleister Crowley used the word as the title for his list of the 72 demons. It represents the ultimate blasphemy in the name of Christ.
I like the name of your band, not gothic or any other of that shit that I come across. Almighty Sathanas is a very straightforward name, no beating around the bush. What made you decide on this name?
Thanks, man. Kill goth FAGS! I was thinking of some names but when this name came to my mind, I stopped thinking about it. I like this name very much because it's Satanic and represents the grim sound of Almighty Sathanas.
Almighty Sathanas does not remind me of any other bands. Do you have any influences or is this madness you play all coming from you directly?
I don't copyright some band, of course, but I do have influences because I'm not the one who discovered black metal. My influences are: Von, old Beherit, Revenge, Profanatica, Spear of Longinus, old Absurd, and Moonblood.
How available is your first demo? Any plans on finding a label, or have you got that all squared away?
My demo is still available, people can make their orders. As for the labels, no, I havn't found one yet and I don't want one, for now, at least. Well, I want to send copies on my own to the black metal fans. I believe in underground spirit and contact with other black metallers from other countries is a great idea.
Is there a second demo on the way? Would be great to hear more from Almighty Sathanas...
It will be. But I havn't worked on it yet. I have just released my first demo. For sure, the second demo should have more tracks but it will still be in the same raw style. I am not planning to change my style for being mainstream.

Greece has lots of great black metal bands, in my opinion such as End, Der Sturmer, old Rotting Christ, and so on. Do you wish to have Almighty Sathanas become well known and commercial, etc.? Do you care?
HELL NO. Like I said, I don't like to be mainstream and well known. It is enough for me being known in the underground society. I think that publicity corrupts. See Rotting Christ. They were the leaders of the Greek black metal scene and now play shit with gothic influences. No way, I will not let it happen.
I know this is common but I really want to know your opinion on these few words:

1. I see Satan as a metaphorical being. I am not a fan of Judeo-Christian religions. Satan, for me, represents the fight against Christianity. I am more close to LaVey's theories, who says that modern Satanism is a kind of independence. You are the God yourself, you can rule your life on your own.
2. National Socialsim has some great views. I agree with a lot of stuff about National Socialism. I think that the Third Reich has a lot of great personalities like Hans Guenther, Alfred Rosenberg, Walther Darre, and so on. Globalization and racial mixing is a great threat and National Socialsim has some great views on it.
3. I am very proud of my ancestors. Greece was the cradle of Europe, where it all began. Here was born, Plato, Aristotle, Alexander the Great, and so on. I have respect for ancient Greece but nowadays, everything is fucked up. Capitalism has destroyed everything. The people live to work and they got no time for thinking. Media owns us. Most of the people are sheep.
4. Well, it's not my favorite NSBM band but they're not too bad. I respect the old NSBM bands like Absurd, Spear of Longinus, and Moonblood. NSBM has become so fucking mainstream these days. You can see 14 year old guys claiming to be Nazis and listening to NSBM. National Socialsim is more than just music. It's really sad that NSBM is becoming mainstream.
5. I HATE THEM. We have had lots of wars with them and we are somehow eternal enemies. You know something? The Greek and Turkish government promote a friendship between these two folk. I am pretty sure that both folks don't want the friendship.
