What motivated you to join the black metal scene?
About five years ago, I was getting into a new form of music, or new to me, which was black metal. I had never heard anything like it and loved it for it's raw hatred toward Jesus Christ and God. Over the course of a year or so, I found myself writing lyrics and decided to try and come up with what would be the concept for Blutfrost, which was under a different name at the time. Nothing was ever written except for lyrics due to no instruments. The name was Screaming Empire. The one thing that made me want to join the scene, I would say, is the music in general. No bullshit about trying to make money. Just real people making music, not trying to rip people off.
Bloodhorn came to me with the idea of Blutfrost. He asked me to do vocals. I always wanted to be in a band so I decided to help out. I've laways admired black metal for it's extremeness and intensity. I would like to help keep the intensity alive with Blutfrost's music.
Is there anything that you want to say to the scene whores that are beginning to overflow the black metal population?
Yes, fuck the posers that worship Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, and others. They're not true black metal. Hell, they're not black metal in general, never were. There was a time that I liked Cradle, I will say, but I got deeper into the scene and grew past their idiot music bullshit. All they want is money. Only album I like is Total Fucking Darkness, the demo. Other than that, fuck COF and their gay fans. Blutfrost is here to crush these poser faggots and rape them analy with an inverted crucifix.
I say fuck it! I was never really a big fan of Cradle of Filth, who aren't even black metal to begin with. Try gothic/death metal. I used to like Dimmu Borgir but since their last album and how they have been composing themselves in the media, I have lost interest in them. I think they have been getting less and less black metal since Stormblast. They give Norwegian black metal a bad name. As for all these kids that are hoppin' around for them, they'll eaither realize how lame it is and find real black metal or it will no longer be cool anymore and they'll find something else entirely.
What bands and/or people have influenced you personally and as Blutfrost, a band, in general?
I'll just name a few bands and people in general, I could go on for days. The main one would probably be Wind of the Black Mountains. I love their atmpospheric sounds, especially on Sing Thou Unholy Servants. Then there is Blasphemy. Gods of War is one of the greatest and most evil albums I've ever heard in my life. AngzerHornBroals will totally agree with me that he is also a big influence on me...and his band Black Torment. Some other bands though, I would say, Mercyful Fate, Bathory, old Darkthrone, Burzum, old Slayer, ChemiKiller (Hail RamRod!), Ragnarok, Sargeist, Craft, Hellhammer, Kvist, NunSlaughter, Venom, Black Witchery, Black Funeral, Dark Funeral (Secrets of the Black Arts and back), some Setherial, some Behemoth, Beherit, a lot of other stuff that isn't metal but it doesn't need to be mentioned here. I could go on so I'll stop boring my legion of adoring fans. (laughs)
My favorite black metal bands are Emperor, Bathory, Immortal, and Marduk. I also like Enslaved, Vintersorg, and Finntroll. I like some death metal like Amon Amarth and Hypocrisy. I like most thrash like Exodus, Testament, and Kreator. Mercyful Fate and King Diamond are great too! I like Venom, Celtic Frost, GWAR, and the Lord Weird Slough Feg as well. Bloodhorn is probably the one who got me into most of this stuff. Another big influence is my firend Khabaal, who is trying to put together his band, Alastor Rising. Outside of music, I'd say mythology (Norse, Greek, Sumerian, Celtic, Tolkien), comics like Bastard!!, Slain, and Conan, and Dungeons & Dragons are other influences on my lyrics and stuff. Oh, and Donkey Kong! That game rules.
For those not familiar with Blutforst, explain Blutfrost's music and ideology.
I'd say the lyrics express the resentment of Paganism towards Christianity for basically raping the pagan way of life and assimilating it's components into it's dogma. I also would like to express Satanic themes such as pure self indulgence without worrying about morality. Honestly, I am not worried about sounding too pretentious or cheesy. I don't take my lyrics too serioously. The thing that is most imprtant to me now is capturing the true black metal sound. I can worry about the deeper meaing parts later.
Basically what Worg stated. Mine are more in vein of just raping christ. A few are about barbarians but for the most part we will just use Worg's lyrics.
What do you see in Blutfrost's future?
Right now, I just want to get out the new and much improved demo. I didn't want to release the other one but some people seem to like it and I thought the people that enjoy Blutfrost would like to have it just for the hell of it. I hate the demo, personally, and the new demo this summer is going to blow that crap away.
Hopefully, we can buy some more equipment and maybe get a few more members and eventually record a full fledged album or something.
Yes, the album is important, but the demo is what I'm most worried about. Maybe play some live shows once we find a drummer and a bass player, but we can live without a live bass player for right now.

Yes, I'd like to send hails and ave's to people who have stuck by me and supported Blutfrost, even when it was nothing. Not even a website, just lyrics and a christraping idea in my mind. Those people know who they are. I would like to thank my singer, Worg, for rejoining Blutfrost and my wife for being the keyboard player. I would also like to thank you for this interview. It's the first official Blutfrost interview.
