This is different.  Very different. I've said that before, but fuck.  After listening to it, I was actually concerned whether it was "black metal" enough for the site. I decided that it was in spirit, if not so much sound, so here it is.  On the back of the cardboard sleeve the disc comes in is a picture of, I'm assuming, a band member breathing fire, decked out in corpse paint and spikes, and wielding an axe.  "Oh, ok.  We have some good ol' straight forward black metal here." Wrong.  First off, it's only one long ass track, running in at about 50 minutes.  It basically consists of some weird guitar effects and, I assume again, the "Sermon Ov Hate" read over top of them.   About 20 minutes into it, the Church choir takes over.  But, sure enough, the Pastor returns.  It actually feels like you're sitting through a church service.  I haven't decided whether that's good or bad yet.  It will definitely put you in a trance, though.  To me, it honestly feels like an about an hour long intro and so many times did I find myself waiting for a raging blast beat and some hideous shrieking to come out of nowhere.  It's not my thing but if you're into stuff like SunnO))), Lurker of Chalice, etc. then you will salivate over this one.  They say "the evolution of black metal has come..."  I think I'll stay in my cave.  If I was going to perform a ritual of some sort, however, this would be the first thing I would use as a soundtrack because, like I said before, it has the power to make you feel like you are sitting in a dark church listening to the devil himself speak...
