Chapter 8

Dear Diary,
As I am writing this down, I'm in a car. It's so difficult and I am starting to get dizzy but I'm on my way home. I just met Westlife a while ago... they were so great! This has got to be the best day of my life. And what I'm about to write, is the best thing that happened today (and the rest of my life too): LINDA AND TAMMY A.K.A. CHARMED, JUST ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO JOIN THEIR GROUP! Well, I was at the hotel with two of my friends, right? We were fooling around, and they dared me to sing "On the Wings Of Love" as high and as loud as I could. So I did what was asked of me, fully aware that there would be a very big chance that we would get chucked out of the hotel. Anyway, I sang, and they were laughing then they suddenly stopped and looked so shocked. I turned around, and I saw Bryan McFadden (what a babe!) smiling down at me. With him was Mark (another gorgeous babe, and yes diary, they are from Westlife!) and Tammy from Charmed. I got so embarrassed. Mark said I had a great voice and Bryan just stood there, smiling. I couldn't believe I made such a stunt like that in front of them. Actually, it was that dare that brought Tammy to ask me if I wanted to join the band. She called Linda and her manager over, asked me to do an acapella of an upbeat song and a slow song. I sang "What A Girl Wants" by Christina Aguilera (or however you spell her last name). I don't know why but it was the first song that popped into my head. For the ballad, I sang the whole song of Westlife's "On the Wings of Love". Then I tried harmonizing with the two other girls and their manager thought it was brilliant! He told me to go home, pack my bags, ask for my parents' approval and that I shouldn't worry about the legal stuff anymore. I couldn't believe it! I'm actually in a pop band! I'm quite worried though, coz I am supposed to be in college when June comes. I really just hope my mom would understand. Not all the people in this world get this kind of luck that I have, and I'm not going to let this opportunity pass by. Believe me, I've let loads of things pass by and I'm not gonna let this one go! Not all the people in the music business just sing and then BAM get into a band that's starting to get well known. Everyone usually works so hard and look at me... I'm a pop star! How big headed of me to say that but I really can't believe it! And I can't believe I'm touring with Westlife! Isn't this all too just... bizarre? And I also get to see the whole world as well! This is so cool! It all started out as a dare and now... just look at me...

We just arrived... and I'm looking forward to my few days of staying here! I just met someone, and I am kind of hoping that "She's the one". Her name is Jenny. Yeah, she's a fan, but I really don't care. She seems nice enough anyway. And she's pretty too! Tammy just asked her to join their band, "Charmed". I hope she said yes, coz in that way, I could get to know her better. All I know about her is that she's from London, England. I don't know if she flew all the way here just to see us or whatever. She's about around 16, I guess. I asked Tammy all that she knew about Jenny, but she really didn't know much. The info I just wrote was all that Tammy knew about her. I'll go over to Linda later and ask her. Maybe I could find out some of her favorites and stuff. Do I love her? Nah... I do quite fancy her coz she's so beautiful and all but who knows? Anything can lead into something. Honestly, I really can't fall for someone who I really don't know. Maybe in due time I'll find out.
