Love Has No Boundaries
Epilogue
I woke up, the few soft rays of the early sunlight pouring through the windows of Toni’s room. I looked at her as she slept peacefully. I wanted to wake her up so badly, but I didn’t have the heart to. I softly edged near her, placing gentle kisses on her eyes, nose, cheeks and mouth. She stirred slightly and opened her eyes, rubbing the sleep away from them. “Good morning.” I said softly. “Good morning!” she said brightly as she stretched herself out on the bed. Her happy expression suddenly darkened a little, but she quickly smiled to cover up her feelings. Toni could never ever really in any way lie to me. I could always see it in her eyes. The sadness was there. We spent the whole night talking. Today was the day I was heading back to Ireland to join the lads on a promotional trip to the US. I made her promise not to cry, because it would hurt me so much to see tears in her eyes.
I held her close, trying to comfort her. She snuggled up to me, a smile on her face. We spent the whole morning holding hands or cuddled up. We didn’t do anything special. We were happy being together. As long as we were with each other, everything was special.
Now I’m in my seat, being flown via plane to Ireland. I’m thinking of all the things that happened to me when Toni came into my life. I felt love, heartache, ecstasy, sadness, and more things in life. I learned what it was like to hurt and be hurt, to betray and be betrayed… but those are unimportant things. Those are just tests in our life that make us grow stronger. I felt how it was to love and be loved in return. Now that is important. Toni showed me that nothing else mattered. Not pride, jealousy, or anything. Love. That’s what’s important. It’s the one thing that makes us happy. She brought so many things in my life, which I totally am grateful for.
Even if we’re apart, I know everything is totally perfect. I love her, and she loves me. But I guess the story just doesn’t end with that. The others have a happy ending as well. Or should I say… a happy beginning. Bryan and Helen are getting married in 10 months. 3 months after that it’s Kian and Patricia’s turn to walk down the isle. Then 2 months after that, Shane and Sandra will get into the married life as well. Nicky and Alessia will get married a year after that. If they can wait that is. Toni and I don’t have any plans yet. We’re happy the way we are right now.
Not only the main characters get a happy ending in every story you know. Loraine, on the other hand, met someone in England. His name is Lee, and he’s from the band Code Red. I’ve got to say it was love at first sight. Oh, and Magda! We can’t forget her now can we? She met Patrick at a party, and the love bug bit them as well. Patrick managed to change her completely, and you can say she’s one of the sweetest girls in the neighborhood now. Aah… the things love can do to people.
Toni and I know that we have to struggle in order to keep our love alive. We both know that long distance relationships don’t last that long, so it’s another uphill climb for the both of us. It definitely has to work both ways. We assured each other it would work. It just has to. I’ve lost her before, and I NEVER want to lose her again. She had her doubts, and I must admit I had mine. We’re human. We’re not perfect. We knew one thing though. Our love for each other is strong enough. Our love will go stronger even if we’re thousands of miles apart. The distance would make it stronger. As she once told me, “love is such a wonderful thing. It can withstand space and time. No height or depth, no width or length could ever come across it”. And she’s totally right. After all, I’m totally sure that love has no boundaries.
