We Were Two
Chapter 2
A small bump woke me up. I looked out the window and realized
that we had landed again and this time it was for the last time.
Here I was in Sydney, Australia all by myself, I felt terribly lonely
thinking about it. And thinking about all the tears, hugs and kisses
from when my family and Sara saw me off at the airport made me
feel even lonelier. The people I loved the most in this world were as
far away from me as they could possibly get and I already  missed
them unbelievebly much. I got a big lump in my throat  and felt that
I could hardly breathe, I had to get out to the fresh  air! I half run,
half  walked through customs. "Hey Miss, your  passport!"
"Sorry!", I said, took my passport out of my bag and
showed it to the  custom officer. "Are you ok, Miss?", he asked,
"Yeah, sure, I'm alright", I  said, forcing out a smile, "I'm
just in a  hurry..."
Finally I got out from the airport! I found a wooden bench
just a few meteres to my left, so dragged my luggage
(believe me, it was heavy) there and sank down. My
thoughts started to drift away again as I sat there
waiting for Nicole and Rhiannon to pick me up. Nicole is
one of my best e-pals and
Rhiannon is her twin sister.  Their family had been nice
enough to let my stay at their place, until I could move in
to my own apartment. My boss at the hotel said that it
would probably only be for about a week or so. I didn't
mind, 'cause I knew that I would have a great and wicked
time with the Tozer sisters!
I looked at my watch and noticed that I was early and
they wouldn't be here for another ten minutes. There
were people everywhere around me, people who was
late for their flight or people who were there to meet a
family member they hadn't seen for so long. It's kind of
incredible when you think about all those people and
there I  was  not knowing anything about
who they were and what they were doing there. Well, I
actually had a hard time figuring out  what I was doing there myself...
"Gosh, I'll miss my brother's sense of humour", I thought
to myself with a smile. My brother, Magnus, and me had
the weirdest sense of humour ever, most of the time we
were the only once who understood the jokes we made,
the others would just laugh because we did. I had to
send him an e-mail when I was settled in. Luckily my
boss at the hotel, I was going to work at, seemed  really
nice and insisted that I had to have a PC in my
apartment. Of course I didn't argue about that, 'cause I
really didn't want to  lose contact with my e-pals and all
the great people on the mailing lists. I sat there smiling
for myself, when I thought of my  brother. What I didn't know
then was that I'd soon meet a guy  with, if possible, an
even madder sense of humour!
It was still five minutes 'til they'd pick me up and all I
could do was sit there and do nothing. I guess I looked
kinda lost and sad, 'cause after a few minutes I heard someone say,
"I'm really sorry to disturb you like this, but I was just
wondering if you are feeling  ok?  Me and my friends
noticed that you look a bit sad and we couldn't  just leave
you like that, so I decided to check you out...  no, I
mean... check how you were... doing... eermmm..." I
don't  know why but there was something in this guy's
voice that made  me feel  tranquil and safe. It made me
feel that I didn't have anything to worry
about and that this year would work out just  fine. This
guy   had the most beautiful accent I had ever heard, it
sounded very  familiar, not just the accent but the voice
as well... I  turned around  to face him, to say 'Thank you'
and tell him that I  was fine, but when I looked into his
beautiful blue eyes I heard  myself say,
"Oh   my God! Your lower lip is even sexier in real  life..."
