We are Jeff & Tonia Collins from Tennessee. We have two biological sons and wanted to add a daughter to our family. We enlisted the help of Cathy Harris, a really nice lady in Florida who had adopted 5 children from Ukraine. We liked the idea of an independent adoption for several reasons, half the cost, you're in control and you choose your child after you personally meet them. The U.S. side of the process only took us 3 1/2 months to complete. We traveled to Ukraine on March 25, 2000. On March 31st, we became the parents of Catheryn Eleana Collins. We were only in Ukraine for 12 days. I hope you enjoy our story.
