The Nigerian sculptor and painter Toni Ndikanwu is born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.  He has graduated in 1988 from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and lectured 1989 at the Art Department of the Polytechnic of Arts and Technology, in Kano, Nigeria.

He has taken part at workshops and seminars, and worked with noted African artists, like El-Anatsui and Obiora Udechukwu.

Toni Ndikanwu has worked with different materials, like wood, metal, stone, plastics, acrylic, oil, water-colours, pastels, and charcoal.

He practised many art directions and styles, like realism surrealism, cubism, symbolism etc.  In 1986 he illustrated some childrens' books.  Between 1990 and 1995 he worked as an interior designer/decorator in Lagos, Nigeria.

He has had seven solo exhibitions in Nigeria and Greece, and nine group-shows in Germany, Nigeria, France and Greece.

His works exist in public and private collections in Nigeria, Cote D Ivote, South Africa, The United States, Turkey, Germany, Italy, U.K., France, Australia and Greece.

He says, "art is a process of continuous coming into being".

His hobbies are chess and martial arts.  Nowadays he lives and works in Greece.
