Coloured Feathers. A new source for Anglers ?
Traces of coloured feathers have been used by sea
anglers for centuries to catch mackerel. Until now these
traces were costly to produce due to the time and effort
required to stain the feathers with various colour dyes. Chicks are now been bred in Amman and sold as childrens pets but the potential for fishing lures has not gone unnoticed with anglers snapping them up. As well as mackerel feathers they are been used to create new and exciting flys for the game angler. One angler said "They're great, the kids get a cute pet, I get loads of feathers and chicken sandwiches to go fishing with". |
