| Our two bedroomed holiday cottage is situated in the beautiful and historic Vendee countryside. This area of France is popular with British and French alike because of its mild climate ~ boasting as many hours of sunshine per year as the South of France. With easy access from the Channel Ports (less than three hours drive from St Malo, 4.5 hours from Caen) and Nantes & La Rochelle airports, the Vendee is an ideal holiday destination. The cottage is all on one level and suitable for four people. There are two bedrooms, living area, kitchen, separate toilet and shower room with wash basin. The shower is themostatically controlled. All windows and doors are double glazed and there are electrically operated shutters on all windows. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, full sized cooker, (gas hob and electric oven), fridge/freezer, mini oven, microwave, iron, coffee maker etc. The lounge area is bright and airy. There are various games and books available if required. Fan heaters are supplied for chilly evenings. The main bedroom is spacious with a double bed, pine furniture and a comfortable sitting area with armchairs . A hairdryer is also supplied. The second bedroom has adult sized twin beds, wardrobe, chest etc. Duvets and pillows are supplied for each bed(also spare pillows, blankets and bedspreads). A cot and highchair are available if required. There are ample areas surrounding the property for your use. The cottage has an enclosed south facing gravelled courtyard ~ ideal for soaking up the sun and ensures little ones can't wander. There is also a more shady area to the side. A barbecue, patio furniture, sun lounger are supplied. There is adequate parking space at the front and side of the property. (There is no passing traffic). The property is situated on the outskirts of the small village of Le Girouard ~ a peaceful location but within easy reach of all the attractions of the Vendee. The lively and fashionable resort of Les Sables-D'Olonne is just 11 miles away where you will be spoilt for choice of superb restaurants and miles of sandy beaches. Bread and patisseries can be bought daily (including Sunday) from a mobile boulangerie and there are small but adequate supermarkets within 5 - 10 minutes drive. There are no hidden charges, the prices quoted include all the electricity and gas used. You will need to supply bed linen and the property should be left in a clean condition. A deposit of £50.00 is required as a security deposit. Prices from £200 to £340 per week.
