The Chemistry make up of   Alcohol
Alcohol is a chemical organic coupound part of the alkanol family.  The ehtanol coumpound is CH3-CH2-OH.
Alcohol is a colorless liquid with a burning taste that has a characteristic odor.  Its boiling point is 78.4 degrees C.
Ehtanol can produce sythetics by oxidation of ethanol gases.  The coumpound make up of this is C2H4+H2O---->CH3-CH2-OH.
Ethyl alcohol can form a hydrogen-bonds and exibits intermolecular association the same way water does( veiw picture to the left).
Distilled alcohol contains 4-6% water.  Unlike water, ethanol has a non-polar ethly portion of capable Vabn der Waals interaction.  The chemical make up of alcohol is a balance between polar-OH group and its non-polar group (CH3-CH2-).  The picture to the right shows this.
