After India, I need some place easy to relax. So I flew to London from New Delhi to visits my friends. London is a very boring place for me. I can only take it for so long. After London, I flew to Hong Kong and make my way to China to visit another friend. Then went back to Hong Kong to look at my options. My money is finally running dried. Remember I've been away for 6 years with 2 years working in Germany. Still, that's 4 years of non-stop traveling. I looked at some options of flight to Canada. I decided to buy a round the world ticket to Vancouver since it wasn't that much more than a direct flight. My itenary was Hong Kong---Auckland---Fiji---Hawaii---Vancouver. I chosed Auckland because I wanted to visit some friends that I made while I was trekking in Nepal. Fiji was my main destination on this trip. I was going there to dive in the pristine reef of Fiji with my friends dive shop. And Hawaii? Well, I didn't really want to go there, but that was the package. Originally, I was going to spend maybe 4 or 5 days there. Then I changed my mind and changed the ticket to a 12 hours stop over. I think that was too long for me in Hawaii. I took the bus from the airport to Honolulu. Went to that famous surfing dude beach. Stared at the surfers for 30 minutes. Ok, enough of that. Went shopping for gifts for family and friends. Then really got tired of the city. Went to see a movie and went back to the airport. Found me a nice bench and went to sleep. After arriving in Vancouver, I took the bus back to my home town of Edmonton. |

Arriving from Viti Levu, the main island of Fiji. Taveuni is a slow quiet place. Coconuts are like garbage here. They are all over the place. Another fruit that was my main diet was papayas. They are also everywhere, except that you can't just picked them up off the ground. You have to climb the trees to get them. My friend introduce me to an Australian farmer. I used to go to his farm to get papayas. I was using a very long stick to poke at the fruit on those trees that was too high to climb, when it falls then I catch it. This one time, the sun blinded me just for a split second. So this very large papaya landed dead center on my face, almost knock me out. But afterward I couldn't stop laughing. |

The reef behind me is where I did most of my diving. It wasn't a very big area. But the dives were still amazing. I also did some dives at the Great White Walls, which is a very famous dives site in another area. Those running shoes are the same one that I used for trekking in Nepal. They had served me very well. |

I started this bike trip from Shanghai. And this is where the bike will be staying. I took most of the parts that I wanted to keep and gave the bike to my friend. Just in case he needed it to fixed his own bikes. Right here at this point in Taveuni has something to do with the timeline. I just can't remember what it was. |
