Summer of 94. Decided to take another 2 month holiday from Germany. It turned out that I left Germany for good. Went to London to see my friends, got my teeth all fixed up. The price was right, he didn't charge me anything. Bought a ticket to Hong Kong. I've never been to China before. And a really good friend of mine just went to China to work. We made quite the pair walking down the street in Shanghai. A long hair oriental with a big black guy. Lots of countries you either love or hate. China is one of those special country that everyone just hates(At least all the people that I talked to anyway). You can forget about all that myth about respect for the elders and other such nonsense. Here is the picture of real China. When you are taking the bus. Everyone fights to get a seat. If you are a 70 year lady standing, well that's just too bad. When you are at the bank, train station, etc..., you must yell and scream and fight your way to get any service. The national passtime in China is probably spitting. Because just about everyone does it. Sometimes right in front of you while you are eating. Hmm, yum!!!! Here is something for the environmentalist, the train tracks all over the country are basically one huge garbage bin. All the garbage from the train goes out the window. China sucks!! If anyone has a better opinion of this country, I like to hear it.
