4. The Religion Lie
Overcome is not a religious band. It just doesn't matter if you go to church every Sunday, or if your a "good" person, or if you follow all your churches doctrine that will supposedly get you to heaven. Jesus Christ is the only way to God, not a church or your "good works". Follow the Bible not the man-made doctrines of a religion, it will get you nowhere.
Religion, has made a fool,
has made a fool out of you.
You think that you can be saved by
the works and the things that you do.
Led around so blindly
by what the church tells you to do.
Never thinking just accepting
the unbiblical lies told to you.
Confession to a man, won't save your sins.
Your prophets put up high on church pedestals
won't save your sins.
Go to church every Sunday,
it won't save your sins.
Say your hail marys all you want,
it won't save your sins.
There's only one way to God,
through Jesus Christ his son.
Don't be fooled by this worlds lies.
Religion isn't always what it seems.

6. Life Once Lost
Life lived for myself.
Mistakes send me to the ground.
Living in constant sin.
I'm alone, no one is around.
Fight for my sanity,
this world has taken toll.

where is my control?
With no where else to turn,
I looked to what I denied.
Could I have been wrong,
to whom does my life belong.

Where is my help,

Is this all I have?
Born into a world of lies,
like being thrown to lions, eaten alive.
Trying to find some peace in chaos.
Trying to regain all which I have lost.
Can't you see the emptiness of this world?
Can't you feel the pain which I unfold?
It's here it's all around me like being naked in cold.
Then I was introduced to the greatest truth ever told,
Jesus Christ died for our sins.
With open arms, he let us in,
paid the price for sin in our lives.
Truth will set you free.
8. Priority
This song is by no means against veganism or vegetarianism!! This song has simply been written for Christians who put other priorities before God. So many times we have seen Christians get so wrapped up in veganism or vegetarianism that their friends, family, and suffering people don't matter anymore. There is nothing wrong with a Christian being a vegan or vegetarian, but sometimes we think that some Christians are more concerned with what their friends ate than where they will spend their eternity.
Tell me of your perfect world,
that you fight so hard for
show me your priorities,
what you live your life for
We're not against your beliefs.
We just know there is little time.
There are more important things.
It's time to choose your side.
This is the time to fight for souls.
Winning the lost, it is our goal.
It will soon be too late.
Much more important than what's on my plate.
My diet, your priority.
That's not the way it should be.
More imortant, the things that I wear,
than where I'll spend eternity.
But what about my soul, it might be too late.
But at least I did not kill
for all the things that I ate.
This is the time to fight for souls.

And I've thought about this,
and I've prayed about this,
it just seems foolish to me,
I'd rather be with friends for eternity.
9. Thrown Out
Walk away from me,
You don't want to hear what I have to say.
Say it is a lie.
But why are you so afraid of what you don't believe?
I don't want to preach at you.
I just want a change to speak my mind.
Say what I have to say,
I won't sell out what I believe.
Hear what you want, ignoring all the facts.
God's not about the labels that you attach.
Homophobia and sexism is not what we are about.
If only you'd understand,
all falsehood could be thrown out.

10. Apathy
Blind,
blind to your apathy.
Your spit straight from the mouth of God.
You use God's grace to justify your sins.
You sit complacent, letting your friends die.
Die.
Sit on the couch, and watch the news.
See all the wrong paths, people choose.
Keep to yourself, the answer in you.
Not allowing Christ to work through you.
Now is the time to make a difference.
Be strong in the Lord,
make the best of every chance.
Never will we ever be strong,
until we stand together,
and help your friend move along.
It's time that we have a burden for those that are lost.
It's time we make a difference, planting your cross.
11. New Life
Separation from this world.
I'm sick of my ways.
And there's only one cure.
To live my life, for the one who died.
Change my ways, live for Christ.
Away from sin, be strong and win.
My new life, this is my new life.
Dead, I die to this world.
To live my life, with the Lord.
My rewards are great, in him I find my peace.

Separation from this world.
I'm sick of my ways.

We feel your hate,
actions speak louder than words.
You hate us,
you try to silence truth with your lies.
It will take much more,
if you think you can shut us down.
Your efforts are worthless against us.
We will always stand our ground.
Blessed are the persecuted,
for the evils said against them.
They will inherit the kingdom of God.
Blessed are the persecuted.
You are our God,
to you we lift our hands.
Persecuted for your word,
never bow to any men.
Though evils lie before us,
we maintain our stand.
A lamp upon our feet,
and a light onto our path.
