apparently unaware of the photographer.
Looking now at the picture
I think about them
even as I think about us.

Her sweater is tied around her waist.
Perhaps they are talking.
I can not tell.
Do they remember that day as well?
Are they satisfied with each other still,
as they appear to be in the photo?
What do their shadow masks hide?
What would different light show?
It was a cool almost-sweater sunny afternoon.
