| When all is said and done, it has to be for something. Something that is beyond now, and from before then. When all is done and gone, there has to be a totem. A deep rooted mark that can't be stained away. If others press their face against the smoothness, and find comfort in the contrast, if they can use the strength of the thing to continue their own quiet struggles, if it speaks to them when they listen, and listens to them when they talk, then the mark you made was needed, and will last. |
