Simplicity
We set complicated conditions for being happy.
Perhaps we want more things and bigger things.
It might be a better position in a complex organization
that would finally bring us contentment
or we conclude that the love of another person
would be just the thing
to banish our feelings of unease.
We create elaborate expectations that,
if not met,
make us chafe and make us restless.
But I find that there are few things more rewarding
than a long hot shower on a cold winter day.
