CHEYENNE, OCT 11, 2004

I am called Grandma again
with joy I can barely contain
an infant so new
but has stolen, its true,
my heart, though I'll never complain

I watched her tiny pink fingers unfold
and my huge ones into hers take hold
She is Cheyenne Renee
six pounds five ounces did weigh
more precious than diamonds or gold

Of all of life's wonders to see
there are none that could possibly be
the most special on earth
as that of a birth
like the one sweet Cheyenne is to me
