RAINBOWS WAITING

Take rest upon the path that you've been taking;
think back on all the distance you have run.
Be proud at this new turning point you're making;
but know your journey's really just begun.
There's sunshine up above, exhilarating;
beware the clouds that troubled moments send.
I promise you that there are rainbows waiting;
And though they're storm-cloaked, each one is your friend
I pray for you that every clap of thunder
reminds you of a mighty unseen power;
and faith gives comfort as you're standing under
those gray clouds filling e'en the darkest hour.
Give praise for gentle rain for it is like wine
that sustains the earth in quiescent display.
Enjoy the mild breeze and gift of sunshine
that join you as you daily make your way.
