Das erste der „Angel Sanctuary“ Artbooks (82 Seiten, davon 64 in Farbe) bietet jede Menge Artworks der Engel des Lichts und der Finsternis, die ebenso düster wie schön sind. Hübsche Jungs und niedliche bis kaltschöne Mädchen bevölkern die 7 Himmel sowie 7 unteren Gefilde, die mit ihren Bewohnern im s/w Teil namentlich vorgestellt werden. Ebenfalls enthalten ist eine kurze Beschreibung der 8 Angel-Cage-Manga - mit dem Hinweis auf die Schlacht der Engel im Jahre 1999 -, sowie andere Werke von Kaori Yuki („Stonehenge“, „Neji“ oder die Bände aus „Count Cain Series“). Zum Schluß gibt’s dann noch ein Interview mit der Zeichnerin und Erklärungen zum besseren Verständnis der Manga.

Pretty boys and cute or cold-beauty girls inhabit the 7 heavens and the 7 lower landscapes, which are introduced by name with their inhabitants in the b/w part. Likewise, there is a short description of the 8 Angel-Cage-Manga – with the notice of the battle of the angels in 1999 -, as well as other works of Kaori Yuki (“Stonehenge”, “Neji” or the volumes of “Coutn Cain Series”). To the end there is an interview with the artist and explanations for a better understanding of the Manga.
