* MY GOOD DEEDS JOURNAL *

The purpose of this journal is to help you think about the many ways you help others through good deeds. Sometimes your good deeds will seem like small ones, such as telephoning a sick friend or setting the table for dinner. Other times you might help in larger ways, like recycling cans at your school or being part of an effort to help people in your community who are hungry or homeless.

It doesn't matter whether a good deed is large or small. Any helpful act of kindness is worth doing and being proud of.

This journal will allow you to record the good deeds you do so that you can see what a difference you have made by the end of this school year. Each time you write and/or draw in your journal you should try to:

(1) describe your good deed,

(2) tell how it made a difference for others, and

(3) tell how it made a difference for you (what you learned, how you felt).

Feel free to be creative and have fun as you use your journal. Remember that it's a reflection of YOU and what you will be doing to . . .
