Investigates and publically exposes human rights abuses by all countries, uses visibility as a powerful weapon to stop torture, extrajudicial jailing and detention, execution, and other fundamental human rights abuses. Invisibility breeds abuse, by public exposure AI can often bring massive public pressure to motivate governments to improve their actions. |

One of the oldest and most repected of the environmental groups. They do not do any violent or destructive protesting like so many more radical environmental groups, yet are very effective at preventing rampant destruction of the environment. |

While I sometimes disagree on Gender PAC's separation from the larger LGBT community, they have done a lot of good work to promote protections and reduce descrimination against transgendered people of all types. Indeed without their work our representation in groups like HRC would probably be much weaker. For anybody with any variation of gender "flavor" this is a very worthwhile group to support. |
