***** WEBSITE NEWS ***** Geocities is being shut down as of Oct 26th. Watch for news of our new website, ostensibly www.torrgunclub.com, in the near future. The site will also have a new webmaster as Pete Favuzza concentrates on pistol team news and stats. Stats from the first five matches of the 2009-2010 season have been posted. It is unlikely any more postings will be made to this site before it is shut down. If and when a new website is established it will be noted in the club newsletter. It's been fun. ************************
PISTOL TEAM The 2009-2010 team schedule & directions to matches is now available on the site. It is in print friendly Adobe format. Pistol team stats and match details will be posted after our second home match on Sept 29th. This will give a chance for all new shooters to be included in the various spreadsheets rather than being add-ons a week or two into the season. Until then, last year's stats will remain visible. The team opened the 09-10 season with a 1405 - 1375 win over Eddy Glover in Rocky Hill. Charles Olsen led the team with a 289.
TGC OFFERS NRA PISTOL COURSE FOR STATE PERMIT You can now take the NRA Pistol Class required for a CT State concealed carry permit AND join the club at the same time. The fee for the course is $115 and is conducted by the club's own certified instructor. Fee includes free first year membership dues in the club. For more information contact instructor Gordon Smith.
