The Torsion Pendulum | ||||||||||||

Construction - Step 1 | ||||||||||||
The base is made from a scap of 1 inch by 6 inch lumber, approximately 20 inches long. Wooden end supports are notched for the barrels and rib, and to help center the calibration bar in the cradle. In this case, both end supports are identical. In another version of the pendulum, I included an upright extension to support the butt stock. This is useful when when mesuring repeaters and over/unders, which are more likely to tip than side by sides. |
