From One Couple To The Other

Part 7

What? Shinya didn't get it. He was in Die's apartment, he
knew that. He had to be, because Die didn't know where he lived. He
didn't even know what his phone number was! But what was going on?
Something seemed odd. He had been lost in some fields and now, Die
was in front of him looking worried like a mother. Shinya didn't like
it, he didn't like Die looking at him like this. Worry did not fit
the guitarist. Not Die, not ever.
Throwing daggers at him, Shinya wanted Die to let go. Just let him
be! He had the most horrible dream, he didn't want anybody to even
touch him.

"Shin-chan...are you feeling ok?" That worried look again.
No...no! Shinya didn't want to see this. Die stop, oh please stop.
It's not like you. Don't worry about me, tease me like you usually
do. Tell me one of your stupid jokes. Come on tell me. SAY IT!!
Die didn't know what to do, he wasn't even sure Shinya was out of his
daze. He still looked so dark, so lost. "Shin-chan, are you really
awake?"

Shinya yanked. Die was still holding his hand, how could he
let him do that?! Bringing his hand near his chin, he took it in his
other hand and glared even harder then before. How dare you? How dare
you treat me like some little school girl who got traumatised by some
bully.
The young drummer pulled on the sheet around him shivering, in was
freezing in here!

    "I'm sorry Shin-chan. I...I didn't want to scare you. I know
you almost got raped, but you know I would never do that to you.
You're my friend!" That worried look again. Rape? He got raped didn't
he? Of...of course he did, Shinya remembered vaguely now. Somebody
raped him and now he was a dirty slut. He was not wordy of Die, the
red head would never accept him anymore. Why would he ever anyway?
Shinya looked down at him and his eyes started to water. "I'm
dirty...I'm wasted." Tears rolled down his face and crashed on his
hands. "I got raped...I got raped...I can't believe it happened to
me...me?!" Repeating on and on and on the same sentence, the young
man was starting to go crazy.

Die didn't know what to do. Maybe I should call Kaoru...he'd
know what to do. But Kaoru was out, he had told him earlier that he
would take care of Toshiya. He had to deal with a crazy Shinya.
Besides, he could handle this by himself. If he wanted Shinya to be
his, he had to be able to understand and take care of him.
Taking a deep breath, Die stood up and sat down next to Shinya. The
little drummer thought he got raped, he had to convince him otherwise
that's all. But what was he suppose to do? Shinya was running away
from him, surely he was afraid. Putting his hands together, Die
lowered his head for a second. What could he do? Oh, what could he
do? It was not going to be easy, especially with what had happened
between Dir en Grey's band mates that last week. Maybe he could tell
Shinya the truth and make him understand what Toshiya was trying to
do. Right, maybe that would work.
Die turned that thought a couple of times around. Humm...maybe not.
Shinya would try to find some hidden facts that weren't true. That
was Shinya for you, always trying to destroy any theory Die would
come up with. It was a war between then, the young man would never
believe him.
Then...there was nothing to do?

The atmosphere was starting to get very uncomfortable, Die
was getting too close. What did he want with him anyway? "Shin-
chan...you didn't get raped, I..." Shinya turned to face him and
smirked. Why wasn't he surprised? "Stop Die, that's not going to
work. I know what that guy did to me, he raped me and there's nothing
YOU can do about it." And now it was Die's turn not be surprised. He
expected that from the very beginning, maybe he should trust his
instinct and shut up. But still he tried. "How can you talk about it
without freaking out? I mean it's like if you were talking about the
weather." Shinya sighed, right or not he still could say it without
loosing his head. But...he was still crying wasn't he?
"Leave me alone Die, you're not helping. As always. You're just in
the way, in the way for everything. I know you're trying to patch up
the group's relationship but it's not going to work with me." Shinya,
still crying, eyed Die and went on. "You're not serious. Don't say
things so lightly, a fight is not something you fix by snapping your
fingers. It's critical Die, the band is going to break up because of
you and Toshiya!" Die didn't even think about the fact that Shinya
was talking for a change. That Shinya was crying and opening his very
heart to him. That the little drummer was now off guard, he was just
starting to get angry. Very angry, Shinya's words...they hurt really
bad.

Die stood up taking one of Shinya's wrist in his hand and
threw him on the wall in front of them. The drummer's back met the
wall with a huge wham. Hitting the wall with his fits on both sides
of the young man's head, Die restrained him in his little cage.
Boiling with rage, the guitarist held him close. He was not going to
get away that's for sure.
****************

What a beautiful evening it was, no practice or anything. Kyo
could sit back and relax. On top of that, Toshiya was out with Kaoru.
That was very good, very good. Now if only Shinya would wake up. That
would surely make him feel even better. If only Shinya would wake up
and...and confess to Die... The singer sighed, and he had promised
himself he wouldn't get gloomy. Hitting his face a couple of times,
he looked up and smiled. It was for the best, he could handle it.
Besides, Die was his buddy, that was more then enough.
Crossing his feet on the table, Kyo was about to open the television
when the door slammed open. He jumped and turned around seeing
Toshiya flee to his bedroom a strange Kaoru trying to follow him. Of
course the poor leader met a wooden door instead of a Toshiya, that
was the funny part but Kyo couldn't laugh.

Kyo raised an eyebrow when he realised Kaoru wasn't standing
up straight. Crashing down on the floor afterwards, the older man was
crushed. Kyo stood up and walked passed Kaoru to close the front
door. He then kneeled down next to him. "You just destroyed the
happiness of my beautiful evening you idiot." Kaoru shook his
head. "What? What did you just say?" Kyo chuckled. "Never mind, come
on and explain to me why you are drunk." Kaoru unfortunately couldn't
stand up, so they stayed on the floor in front of Toshiya's room.
Kaoru shook his head again, his thoughts were a little fuzzy. "I...I
confessed my feelings to him." Kyo smiled. "Well that's great. What
is he angry for?" Looking down as if he was a little kid being caught
doing something bad, Kaoru played with small treads of his purple
hair. "I was drunk when I told him." Kyo still didn't get it. "So
what? Don't we only say the truth when we're drunk? I mean, people
discover things about you when you are. So what's wrong with telling
him in that state, he should be delighted because that way he knows
you're not lying."

Toshiya's door opened slowly. The bassist was looking at them
his face neutral. "You don't get it Kyo do you. As usual you don't
get my feelings at all and I thought we were friends." The tall man
glared down at Kaoru. Knowing he was under pressure, the older man
felt like a little baby: Completely helpless. "If he wants to confess
his feelings to me, he should gather his courage and tell me to my
face, not drunk!" Toshiya was tired of being angry all the time and
try to make everything right. If only that others would get him, they
could...
Not being able to finish his little thought, Toshiya had just the
time to catch a sleeping Kaoru.
************

The next morning, Kaoru woke up in an unfamiliar room with
the worst hangover of his little life. That was the last time he
would ever drink so much. Even if he had to confess anything, water
was always the best choice when one was thinking about the next
morning's headache.
Sitting up on the bed, Kaoru couldn't recognise the place he was in.
He had never seen a room like that before, he wondered where he was.
He turned his head and saw a glass of water with some aspirins on the
table next to the bed. What a relief, how thoughtful of the
person...whoever it was, that put it there for him. He or she must be
very sweet and nice, or maybe just understand how he felt. Kaoru
laughed but stopped quickly as it would make his headache worse.

Putting his feet on the frozen floor, Kaoru shivered
slightly. Morning temperature, disgusting.
He walked slowly out of the room yawning and recognised the place
perfectly now. Of course, he was at Kyo and Toshiya's place. He must
have passed out when Toshiya was talking. Kaoru almost hit his head
on the wall, now the bassist was going to be really mad. Passing out
like that, especially when he was talking, that was very rude. The
leader couldn't understand why it was only with Toshiya that he could
make such stupid mistakes. With the others, it was always fine.
Yawning again, Kaoru noticed that Kyo's door was still shut and that
a couple of sheets were spread across the living room. Toshiya had
given him his own room, that was odd.

He walked slowly towards the kitchen and sat down on a chair
without making a sound. Toshiya was there, cooking some breakfast.
The older man smiled, how cute. He looked like an house wife cooking
for a husband.
Staring at the vase full of daisies in front of him, Kaoru's smile
grew wider. He picked one up and turned his head when he heard
Toshiya's surprised sound. "Humm...you're awake. Did you sleep well?"
Kaoru's smile disappeared when his eyes met Toshiya's. "Yeah. Thanks
to your bed." The bassist rolled his eyes, what did he mean by that?

Toshiya tried to smile normally, but Kaoru could see his
uneasiness. The bassist put down a plate in front of him. "Hope you
like it, I'm not the best of cooks." The leader looked down at the
food in front of him. "Looks awful." Toshiya's heart squeezed, why
was he always so mean to him?! "Well if you don't want it leave it
there! Kyo likes my cooking, he's going to eat it." The bassist was
about to pick it up when Kaoru stopped his head and finally smiled to
him.
He handed him the daisy he was holding. "Thanks Totchi."

Alright, one other chapter to go and it should be finished. I know
you don't like how the part of Shin-chan and Die finished but I like
doing that, so don't kill me or you'll never get the end of it. :P
