Our candlelight vigil for PEACE - a small affair, but we got two reporters and a photographer to come out and put us in the local newspaper! Local ALTs and Japanese friends came out to support a worldwide peaceful protest against the war in Iraq. Silent, but powerful, this kind of protest is ideal for all kinds of people. Hope to be a part of or help organize more while in Japan. Now, doing the 'peace' sign in every picture finally means something more than just looking cute! |

All sorts of like-minded friends came out, despite the rain and despite coming from "inaka" boonesy,, to show their support for PEACE. We'll need all the support we can get for this one. Baka desu ne!! |

| "BAKA" means "stupid" in Japanese. How appropriate. I loved having that our peace signs were both in English and Japanese. |
