A Good Cage For Your Grey
When you come to buying a cage, a good rule is 'the bigger, the better". The reason being that your pet will be spending a lot of time in the cage so he'll need pleanty of room to move around, stretch his wings, climb and swing from his toys (greys love to 'hang around'!)
You might have to spend more than you bargained for, but you owe it to your feathered friend to provide him with the best home possible. Cages can be very expensive, but shop around for the best deals and look out for end-of-range cages in the sale. If you buy a second hand cage, make sure that you thoroughly disinfect it with bird-safe cleaning fluid to make sure no diseases that the previous occupant may have had are passed onto your bird.
The cage pictured to the right is a suitable size for a Grey. Remember that AG's are classed as large parrots, so be warey of cages marked as suitable for Greys and 'medium' sized birds. The cage below was marked as such but really is only suitable for small parrots and parakeets. |
