Macroons
4 cups almond slivers
1 1/3 cups sugar
8 Egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp butter


Grind almonds and sugar in a blender.
Beat egg whites with vanilla, gradually add to almond and sugar mixture.
Rub butter on two baking sheets.
Spoon 1 tbsp of batter for each cookie onto baking sheet (about 2 inches apart from each other).
Bake in preheated over at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Remove cookies from baking sheet and allow to cool.
