One cooked pie crust
Pie filling (vanilla or chocolate) set aside, enough for one pie
2 tbsp butter or margarine
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
3 egg whites
2 tbsp sugar
Spread a light coat of butter in the bottom of the pie crust.
Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar till crumbly
Sprinkle 2/3 in the bottom of pie crust
Pour hot pie filling into pie shell over crumb mixture
Sprinkle half of whats left of the crumb mixture on top of the pie filling
Make a meringue with egg whites and sugar
Pour over top of pie filing
Sprinkle the rest of the crumb mixture
Bake at 325 degrees till golden brown |
