| There have been many things that have hurt Malice Mizer, but the loss of Kami hurt them the most. Some say he was the mood of MM, if he was sad then MM was sad and if he was happy then MM was happy. Kami passed away in his sleep on June 21, 1999 of a subarachnoid hemorrhage in his home. He was found four days later on June 25, I'm not sure by whom. A small funeral was held for him and only friends and family were allowed to attend. His family decided not to release his real name, age or resting location. I would not like this page to be just about his death. I also would like it to be about his life. Kami was born in Ibaragi on Febuary 1, 19XX. He started playing percussion in the 5th grade, but didn't get serious about it until high school. He was a hard worker. "I used to play 4 or 5 hours on weekdays, and I played all day on Sundays," he said. (Kami also joined soft-tennis in high school, so he couldn't play on the dums all the time on the weekdays.) At age 17 he decided he wanted to be a drummer. He was in several bands and got inerested in Malice Mizer from the song "BAROQUE". Yu~ki had asked him to join but Kami declined, then Mana gave him a call when Gaz left and Kami joined as a temporary member. He soon became an official member and so began the strongest era of Malice Mizer. He became very close friends with Gackt through the years and, I believe, that Gackt was the one who hurt the most with the drummers passing. Kami would not want us to mourn his death so we shall not. He will forever live on threw us, his family, his friends, and his fans. "You are now free, our butterfly..." |
