| As of October 12, 2004 there is a mandatory deposit on all orders. I require a 30% deposit for lap quilt orders. I require a 30% deposit for twin - king size quilts. For specialty quilts I require a 50% deposit. Specialty quilts are theme quilts, personalized quilts, photo quilts, embroiderded quilts etc. These quilts can not be as easily sold as a regular quilt. The deposit will need to be made before the work can begin on an order. I except personal checks, money orders or a bank check. If you are paying with a personal check it takes 10 -14 business days to clear the bank. Once your check clears then I will mail out the order. These are one of a kind quilts or specialty quilts. The deposits are non refundable. I hate to have to put such restrictions on an order. But as these emails show... Its because of people like this that I have to. Emails from a customer Sept 17, 2004 - Oct. 11, 2004 "...I was curious if you could possibly make a Marilyn Monroe Quilt...and if possible could you prehaps make matching curtains and pillow shams... I WILL PAY ANY AMOUNT FOR THIS !!! ... I am very serious, I hope you can help me ." 9/17/04 "...I will get you the deposit ASAP..." 10/7/04 "...Let me assure you that I will get you that deposit no later then 1 month exactly from today. Please take my word for that ." 10/11/04 Last email later that day "As much as I hate to say this, please forget about this order...I do appologize that you have worked so hard on this...I want to cancel before you start working on it... my husband didn't realize that this was as serious as it is now. 10/11/04 |
