Though the chaplet may be said at any and all times it is most often said at the Hour of the Passion (3:00pm) The Feast Of The Divine Mercy is on the first Sunday following Easter. Begin by making the Sign of the Cross, then recite holding the cross at the beginning of your rosary, 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary and the Apostles Creed If you don't know these prayers, please visit our Catholic Prayers Page. #1 On each of the large single beads before each decade recite the following: Eternal Father I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ , in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. #2 On each of the 10 small beads of each decade say: For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Repeat steps 1 & 2 for 5 decades and end on the medal (see illustration) On this medal conclude the rosary by repeating three times: Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world. |
