Kiroshita Kazuo | ||||||||
Hitokui Adauchi-Kazuo- | ||||||||
The Hitokui Adauchi is a style that has been refined for several decades within Kazuo's family. A cruel yet "different" style, it was designed to tiptoe around the legal systems which frowned upon the instigator of fights. As such, nearly from birth the user of these techniques is trained in a series of fortitude-increasing activities such as being able to stand while being pelted with heavy rocks as well as exercises to repress painful reflexes -usually by repeated exposure to both blunt and piercing strikes. The premise of Hitokui Adauchi is roughly explained within its name "Painful Revenge." If battle is slowed down extremely, as the style's pioneer found, there is an instant of pause between every strike. As body collides against body both beings are subjected to a shockwave centered around the spot of impact and at that exact moment there is a tiny pause as the two combatant's momentums meet. This style exploits that slight gap of opportunity -the moment when arguably the opponent can be at its weakest point. By ignoring the need to block, a user of Hitokui Adauchi can capitalize on his foe's moments of weakness. For example, as a punch collides against the user's stomach, the attacker may be leaning forward. As the punch hits, their body stops for an instant of a second that the Hitokui Adauchi student recognizes; with this moment of weakness the attacker leaves himself open to a swift elbow strike to the top of the head, a headbutt, or a quick grab and twist of the arm, resulting in it breaking. Hitokui Adauchi is a weapon that can only become better as the user becomes more adept at seeing their moment of opportunity. As this moment becomes ever longer, eventually this technique's students seem to defy the laws of speed with their hits, not only having the advantage of better reaction on their side, but also being faster than the opponent's nervous system could ever hope to become. However, despite their appearance of being superhuman in the face of their opponents with their bodies able to deflect blades with the movement of a hand or able to absorb bullets painlessly and still defeat their opponent, there is a certain amount of focus that must be exerted in order to maintain this ignorance of pain -a focus that can not be maintained all 24 hours of the day. While a student may walk away unharmed, as soon as this focus is lost all pain is exerted upon their body at once. Slash marks from blocked blades appear on their body and bullet wounds thought defeated may start gushing blood. The ideal of the style would be at its pinnacle to completely nullify the senses that affect pain both before and after the strike; one reason that the insignia often used to represent this style's members, either tattooed or patched onto jackets, is that of a stone golem; an unmovable colossus. In addition, Hitokui Adauchi is a style that relies on the opponent's actions in order to strike back; if both fighters refuse to hit each other then with the extreme focus that a Hitokui Adauchi member exerts the battle may very well be a draw. Kazuo is a peculiar member of this school of martial arts. An opposite to the typical appearance of large, bulky fighters that have dominated the Hitokui Adauchi style for decades, Kazuo is tall and has a lean frame which did not make him a candidate for the carrying on of the style. However, this has only fueled Kazuo's ambition. Kazuo rather enjoys breaking limbs and finding the shortest route when striking in order to cause pain quickly an efficiently. When this is not possible, Kazuo is fond of using the Hitokui Adauchi's moment of opportunity to pull the opponent in close with a jerk of his hands and using excellent speed to pummel the opponent with a series of kicks. While the central teachings of Hitokui Adauchi have been to strike once with a powerful strike -Kazuo focuses on hitting as many times as possible in his opportunity. An instructor once commented that Kazuo's style, while great in his practice of damage and exercise control, reminded him of a hungry spider lying in wait for its prey before it struck the opponent suddenly -removing all of the foe's hope of retreat or survival. Because of this observation Kazuo's reputation has slowly been rising merely as "Steel Spider," a moniker that truly reflects his combat. |

History- | ||||||||
Kiroshita Kazuo is known as the "Steel Spider," a nickname he has endured for the last several years. Yet his origin begins not there, yet during his birth. Born to a high-class family, Kazuo's family have traditionally been members of one of the less desirable aspects of Japanese society; Yakuza. Using fear and intimidation along with a firm hand of force, it was a natural step for Kazuo's great-grandfather to begin in his youth the foundation that would become the Hitokui Adauchi. By the time that Kazuo had reached the age of five, nearly a dozen of his family members were knowledgable in the martial art and had begun training it to all worthy family members. Taking notice of the time that it takes one to condition their body, Kazuo is the first and only of family members to be conditioned from his early youth. Hitokui Adauchi is not a style that promotes friendships or a positive outlook on life. Through repeated peltings with objects, being stabbed regularly, or beaten randomly during the night they hope to promote the ability of an individual to take hits. With this engulfing his life, Kazuo rejected the light and like his sense of pain, he has lost the ability to naturally feel emotions. Despite his training, in order to create a natural face towards society and promote the Kiroshita's face as a wholesome philanthropist family, Kazuo was encouraged to have as normal a life as possible. Handsome although rebellious, he rarely cooperated with teachers and authority figures. Quiet and rebellious, schools were unable to decipher his personality until it evolved during high school. At this time he suddenly became more vocal -perhaps to reflect the nearing of his training and the slow acceptance of himself. The final test of an expert Hitokui Adauchi has often been the breaking point of many students, if the training had not already driven them insane. And on one of the most sacred nights of all of high school -prom, even, it was forced upon Kazuo. Black-masked figures stormed into the dance hall, pointing a gun directly at Kazuo. A single casing fell at that moment from the gun as the bullet stormed towards the fighter, yet his date and longterm crush threw herself in front of the bullet, unknowing of his power. His hands stained themselves red that entire night as she died of blood loss that night. Staring into the last moments of her life, Kazuo saw life that he could never embrace himself, a life that was denied to him without his permission. For that moment, perhaps in the first time that he could ever remember in his known memory, Kazuo felt. The test was called a failure outside of both parties' control and Kazuo was asked to resume his life, but something had been let loose within his mind and heart -something that opened the doors on his emotional dam. Within a week, Kazuo murdered his entire family. Explosions littered family estates, bank accounts were drained, and with this destruction Kazuo buried any hope of there being another child subjected to the same horror that he was. He attended every funeral. That next year Kazuo applied for Toudou Academy under unknown reasons. His heart heavy with the sins of his past, his training has been so ingrained within his being that he is unable to shake its teachings or practices. Hating himself even more than he hates others, Kazuo has begun to go by the nickname of “Steel Spider” and attracts high levels of female followers from among those who are attracted to his stereotypical “bad boy” persona. Of course, his attitude is not conducive to education most of the time despite his voluntary participation in the school. His bold and rebellious actions have landed him a disciplinary beating more than a couple times, and when questioned what he thinks afterwards about behaving, often his response is the same, “Feels like home.” |
