Lucky and Elizabeth talked a lot, after his speech to Sarah a week ago. Elizabeth still was shocked from Lucky’s revelation, about his feelings for her. Ever since he talked to her sister, Elizabeth didn’t have crazy moods. She was still unsure about herself, but her smiles were sincere. Lucky sent flowers to his aunt Bobbie, saying he found the smile that stopped his heart, and thanked her for opening his eyes.
"-How about it man? Asked Nikolas
-How about what?
-You didn’t listen to a word I said did you?
-I’m sorry, what were you saying
-Well, I thought that maybe, we could move in together. Like old times. Find an apartment bigger than yours and mine. That way, we could split living costs. Now that I don’t have my fortune anymore, I want to spend as less as I can.
-Nikolas come on, you still are wealthier than the Quartermaines
-Maybe, but I wouldn’t pass it Helena to try and take it away from me, so I try and put a lot where she can’t get it. What do you say?
-I’d have to think about it, but I think it would be fun. Where would we move?
-Well, I checked some apartments, and I found one that’s quite cool. Two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room. It’s near the Hardy’s house, so you would be close to Elizabeth and I would be close to Sarah
-I guess it couldn’t hurt to check it out"
Lucky stood up and they went to the apartment. Lucky thought it was big, too big for just the both of them, but Nikolas was really excited about it. To see his brother smiling from ear to ear was enough for Lucky, so he said yes. They signed the lease for a year, and the youngest brother when to pack the little stuff he had. The landlord said they could move in right away and Nikolas was anxious to do so. Arriving at his room, he found Elizabeth waiting for him, sitting on the floor, her back against the door.
"-Well hello there stranger! Lucky said
-About time you showed up! She said with a smile
-Weren’t you supposed to work at Kelly’s today?
-I was, but Carolyne asked me to switch shifts with her. She has this huge party in Saturday so I said I would. What are you up too?
-Well, I just rented an apartment with Nikolas and I came to pack"
Elizabeth was shocked. She didn’t even know they were looking for an apartment, but Lucky told her he didn’t either, until Nikolas talked to him about this that same morning. Elizabeth was thrilled to know they would live only three blocks away from her house, and, that way, she would be able to stay longer with Lucky, since it was only 5 minutes from Audrey’s.
Elizabeth helped him pack and took his stuff to the new place. Nikolas was already there, arranging the living room. The apartment had already everything in, loaned by the landlord. Nikolas smiled at Elizabeth and continued his work. Lucky and his brother were arguing about where to put the couch, when Elizabeth gave her idea. They both loved it!
The music was playing loud in the apartment, and laughter was filling it. Lucky never thought his brother could be so much fun. Elizabeth was helping with the decoration, while Lucky and Nikolas were moving the furniture. In no time, it looked like home. A nice place to be. Sarah showed up a little later. Nikolas had called her from his old apartment, asking her to come by. This was the first time Lucky saw her since he confronted her, but he acted like nothing happened. He said what he had to, and everything else was in the past.
Elizabeth was not that happy to see her sister, but she decided to put up with her for Lucky’s sake. He really wanted a relationship with his brother, even though he didn’t admitted it, and being with Lucky meant enduring Sarah. She smiled when she thought "what I won’t do out of love".
Elizabeth met Emily Bowen-Quartermaine for the first time that afternoon. Emily was one of Sarah’s best friends, but for some reason Elizabeth had never met her. A fling of jealousy ran through her spine when she saw how close Lucky and Emily were, but then she remembered what Lucky told Sarah. He loved her. Not Emily.
Elizabeth remembered the face he made when he asked her what she would do about Brett. He was almost ready to go and break the guy’s legs if he made any troubles. Elizabeth told him Brett was her long-lost cousin and he sighed of relief. Elizabeth was laughing so hard when he did, that tears came to her eyes. He looked like a little puppy after an "accident".
Sarah was looking at Lucky and her sister, playing on the couch and she was jealous. She was the one playing like that with Lucky. She was the one he smiled to like that. Lucky leaned down and gently kissed Liz, and Sarah turned her head away. He used to kiss her, and she missed that. One day, soon, he would kiss her again. She would win him back in no time. Elizabeth was no match for her. Never have and never will.
Lucky was lying on his bed, Elizabeth was on him, making him crazy. She was kissing him, and he wanted her so bad. She wanted him too but he decided to wait, and she was making him pay, big time.
Lucky had a hard time pushing her away. He wanted her, be one with her, but he honestly thought they were still too young to be involved in a sexual relationship just yet. They were still getting to know each other spiritually, he didn’t want to know her physically too. Not yet anyway.
Sarah barged in, as they were kissing their mouths away. The oldest sister didn’t even knock, she just opened the door. Elizabeth got up faster than a bullet, and Lucky sat on his bed. They were feeling like they were caught doing something wrong. Lucky’s eyes wanted to kill Sarah.
"-Gram wants you home, NOW, Sarah said
-What did I do?
-I don’t know, just go!"
Elizabeth kissed Lucky one last time, and got home. Sarah sat on Lucky’s bed, without saying anything. Suddenly he turned around and said;
"-What are you still doing in my room? Get out!"
Sarah replied he didn’t have to be rude and left. Lucky was pacing his room, waiting for Liz to call. Why did Audrey want to see her? What did she do wrong this time. Elizabeth always seemed to end up in trouble somehow. But he didn’t hear from her until later the next day.
Audrey told Elizabeth that her parents were coming back to town. Sarah already knew, but she didn’t want to be the one to tell her. Elizabeth was crushed. Sure she loved her parents, but they always cared more about Sarah, and they never let her live like she wanted to. Jeff would not be happy about her dating "the Spencer boy". Everybody in Port Charles knew how much Jeff hated Luke, and Elizabeth just knew he would turn his hate over on Lucky. But, like Lucky said, no one could mess with them. They were solid.
Elizabeth told Lucky about her parents coming back, and he was as pleased as she was. With her parents back in town, it would be difficult, but they would manage. They had to. Lucky could not live without Liz anymore, and he would make Jeff understand that. She was his rock, his heart. And if Jeff couldn’t see that, too bad. He didn’t care enough to give a damn about his daughter before, Lucky would not let him do that now. It was now his job to take care of Elizabeth and he intended to do it his way!
