Lucky was in front of his brother, dumbfounded. Nothing had blown up. So why was his gut feeling still as strong as ever? "We need to get out of here, Nikolas! Can't you smell the gas?"
"Yes, I can smell it! But did you forget that the heater is not electric? The guy from the Gas company came while you were gone to get Lulu, he had to shut down the lights for safety, and he said it would smell for a couple hours because of a hole in the tank or something. You didn't need to nearly jump on me like that!"
"Well," Lucky said nervously, passing his hand on his head, "what was I suppose to think? There is no electricity, and the house smells gas. When I saw you light that match, I thought we would blow up!"
Nikolas saw that his brother was so nervous, he seemed out of breath. It was the first time Nikolas really saw his brother loose his cool composure since he got back from wherever he was. But his terrified look scared Nikolas. "Why would the house smell of gas, Lucky?" The older brother ask carefully.
"You don't understand ANYTHING!" Lucky yelled at his brother, knowing what had just happened. "What did the guy look like, Nikolas. The gas company guy, describe him to me"
"He was ugly, he wasn't young, he had long, greasy hair," Nikolas started and saw his brother's face pale even worst. "Do you know him?"
"No, I don't," Lucky snapped, but his brother had just confirmed his suspension. Faison gave him a warning. He knew that Lucky talked to Elizabeth, and now he wanted to scare him into not telling other people. ‘Next time I won't save you when I decide to light a fire, and I'll make sure it's a day you brought your little sister over for hot chocolate' had been his first warning. This was his second. There wouldn't be a third. "I'll take Lulu home"
"You don't have to, Lucky, it's quite safe here!" Nikolas started, but his brother was already out by the back door. A couple of seconds later, the sound of a car shifting into gear broke the silence of the afternoon, and Nikolas slowly passed his hands in his face. He had to talk to Luke.
"Nikolas, where are Lucky and Lulu?" Elizabeth asked from the back door.
"He took her home. He smelled gas and he thought it would be damaging for her health." Nikolas said, but, without knowing why, he knew he had just lied to Elizabeth.

"Well, hello Counselor," Luke grinned when he saw who was behind his hospital door. "Come in, come in, come in, come in"
"I'm not deaf, I heard you the first time," Alexis grinned before she bent down and gave him a chaste kiss on the lips.
"What? That's it?" Luke asked indignantly. "I listened to your brother for nearly an hour only to get this kind of reward? That wasn't the deal, Natasha!"
"The deal was that you tried to be nice to Stefan because he is my brother and I love him, or there would be nothing more than a professional relationship between you and I," Alexis answered as she sat down on the chair next to Luke's bed.
Ever since that faithful day when Luke learned about Lucky's paternity and they shared a kiss, Alexis was a common visitor in Luke's room. At first, a tentative relationship took place, but slowly their feelings for each other grew more insistent and they decided to stop playing games. They both wanted to be with each other, so why act like prude children about it? But there was a price attached to that relationship. Alexis asked of Luke to hear her brother out if he came to see him about Lucky, that Stefan had only Lucky's best interest at heart, and, while Luke didn't believe the last part of her comment, he agreed to hear him out and be civil to him. He couldn't say no to her.
"And I was nice to your brother, I asked him nicely to leave, I didn't even touch a hair of his head, so I think I'm entitled to more than what you gave to me!" Luke countered back. "You know you're like a drug to me!"
"Addictive?" Alexis asked silkily
"No, you drive my nerves crazy!" Luke laughed and dodged her coming fist. "Seriously, though, you're brother came to see me about Lucky, like you thought he would. He says that Lucky was with Helena, which I knew already, but he seems to believe that Helena wants something from my son, and that she is using either Elizabeth, or Lesley Lu to keep him in line. I have to agree with him," Luke said, and he heard a gasp. "If you repeat to anyone that I said I agreed with Stiffen, I swear to you, Counselor, you won't like what will happen!" Luke snapped seriously.
"I promise," Alexis smiled at her partner, one of her best friends in the world. "I won't say that to anyone, but I'm kind of proud to have been able to get you to do something that Laura never could, and that is to have listened to Stefan and actually agree with him."
"Well, it won't happen again. Anyway, as I was saying, your brother the bat seems to think that Helena wants something from my son, and dammit, I have no idea what it is! Why else would she let him walk around freely, when all he has to do is go to the police to have her in jail for a long, long time."

"How is this man, Mr. DiLucca isn't it?" Faison asked in his dull voice, "how is this man going to help us with Luke Spencer? How is he better than Lucky to destroy the man we both hate so much?"
"Why did I found you so attractive, Cesar?" Helena asked with disgust in her voice. "I used to think you were a genius. Why was I so wrong this time? I told you that Lucky Spencer was not to be used against Luke. I need him on my side. I know he is mad at me for what happened back when he was with us, I shouldn't have let you play with him so roughly, but he will come around. After all, he is a part of me, and even his wimp of a father could not defy me."
"But as you said, he wasn't raised as a Cassadine, he was raised as a Spencer. I don't think he will be too eager to serve your purpose and then just die," Faison answered matter-of-factly.
"Oh, my fool little man," Helena chuckled, "do you really think I will ask his permission to kill him? Surely you don't think I will let him know I don't plan on enjoying him as my grandson, do you? I already have all the family I need!"
"I never thought I would see the day when you would become sentimental over your second offspring, Helena," Faison said as he shook his head. "You are mellowing, my dear, it looks like I will have to take care of Luke Spencer by myself since it's clear that you are softening!"
"Don't be ridiculous," Helena hissed as she shook her head. "Stefan is nothing to me. He never was. And Stefan wasn't my first son, if you must know. Stavros was! Now that my first son is coming back to me, though, I won't need anyone else!"
Faison was really becoming a nuisance to the woman. His need for power was becoming unbearable. Now she would have to trouble herself with getting rid of him.
"Madam," Her thoughts were interrupted by Ari as he opened the door before he turned to the visitor. "You can come in"
"Hello, Roy," Helena said to the man who was walking in the room. "How lovely to see you again, my dear," she said with a smile as she saw he recognized the man with her. "Oh, don't mind Cesar, he is a friend of mine, and he is quite harmless these days"
"I'll just bet he is," Roy said as he took Helena's hands in his and he kissed her cheek. "It's been a long time," he said fondly. "Hello mother."
