Nathan and
I met working at Lavalife in early 1999 and we worked on projects together from time
to time. Our personal relationship started with Nathan lending me books from his comprehensive collection.
Eventually he brought in some of his own work and blew me
away!
It wasn't until October of 2000 that Nathan and I
went to a Radiohead concert. We had a great night but I wasn't
sure if it was a date or not...
Shortly after that night Nathan
invited me to be his date at a friends wedding (this
time I knew it was a date for sure!) and on October 27th we went
on our first official date. Nathan was the MC for this wedding
and I was so impressed by his confidence and sense of humour that
before our first dance was over I had to tell him that I found
him very attractive.
The rest, as they say, is history. He Proposed!
On Christmas morning 2004 Nathan suprised
me. He played Santa for my family and was in charge of handing
out all the gifts under the tree. When all the gifts had been
opened, we were surveying the wonderful mess that is Christmas at my
parents house. Nathan came over with one last gift for
me. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry
him!
Of course I said yes, but I'm told that there
was a delay in my answer...I was staring at him, then the ring trying to
figure out if I was dreaming. |
