Cyandain Sedai
Not many know much about Cyndain Sedai but her name, with white hair and midnight black eyes she is hard to mistake for some one else. She had grown up the only daughter of a successful merchant in Tear. Her father spoiled her to no ends but for some reason it did not make her the selfish person such treatment normally begets. It was simply illogical for Cyndain to be so.
She was her father’s most prized possession. Her ability to remain cold faced and unswayable proved very useful. Not many would try to swindle her on the price of something and those who did try never succeeded.
"The gaze of an Aes Sedai" was often heard whispered as her and her father passed by. It made her proud to be compared to the Aes Sedai, thou her father often feared a sister would descend from Tar Valon and accuse Cyndain of trying to impersonate one.
He also feared that he would lose her to the Tower, for though Cyndain her self had not noticed it, most others had. Things just seemed to happen the way she wanted them to happen.
Cyndain’s father however was surprised one day as he was discussing what he and his wife should do. He did not want to lose his daughter to the Tower but if she could channel she needed to go. Cyndain herself provided the answer for him. In all her calm composure she marched into his study and told him he was to get passage for herself and her mother up the Erinin to Tar Valon and only one ticket home. All the talk of her seeming like an Aes Sedai made her decide she was going to be one, and logically nothing would stop her.
Cyndain was accepted into the Tower and like any other girl she went threw the rigors of life as a novice and an Accepted before she finally became an Aes Sedai. With her ability to persuade people and to take command of most situations many thought she would choose Gray or even Blue. Cyndain surprised most however by taking up the White Shawl.
Many years have passed since those days. Her parents have long since been gone and most of the world has changed. Cyndain spent many years out of the Tower living as an adviser to the thrown in Kandor. The cold winters on the blight border appealed to her and she was often seen our riding on crisp winter mornings. Her pale complexion and white hair combined with her preference for wearing close of her Ajah color, perched atop her soft gray nearly white gelding, Vorn, earned her the nick name ‘Sister of Snow’.
Cyndain would have remained in Kandor were it not for the death of her Warder, Jhalen. She was not in great need of one and truly only took Jhalen on dew to her nearness to the blight. With his death however she found her self in a state of depression and refusing to allow that to interfere with her work she has returned to the tower to remedy it.
