Delhia Fargirte

Delhia was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Born the daughter of the high noble of Arad Doman, she lived in opulence. Fate seemed to have a different road for her to go down. At the age of twelve she was introduced to who would be her personal guard, Mazer, she soon became deeply in love with him and as was his job he stayed with her day and night. Six years pass peacefully….

And so, six years go by…

Delhia awoke to hear her family's screams, she laid in bed praying that is was just an argument. It was then that she heard the rough male voice on the other side of her door “Break it down!” The last thing Delhia heard was her own scream as her vision blurred. When her eyesight cleared she saw three dead men laying on her floor, with absolutely no visible wounds. She quickly looked around for Mazer, seeing him against the wall sword drawn, a look of bewilderment upon his face, they had both felt something, but neither knew what. She hastily scooped up a lush robe and pulled it around her, tying it snugly she gripped his hand and rushed down the Hall to her parents chamber.

Delhia met a grisly sight, both her parents lie dead in their own blood. Dressed in their bedclothes they were lying seemingly peaceful, if it wasn’t for the covers stained crimson. Delhia ran to her fathers side already in tears, she knew that nothing could be done. Her father had tried to reach his sword to protect his wife, and died in the process. The heron-marked blade laid on the lush carpeting. Saying a prayer through her tears she picked up the sword and handed it hilt out towards Mazer "This is yours now my darling guard." Tears stinging her eyes she ran out of the room and became sick.

Once she brought herself to, she turned to her love, whom she knew was nearby, and pulled him into a hug, clinging tightly to the only one she had left. Their eyes mirrored each other inside the other reflections of sadness, fear, and pain.

This is how the Gray sister found them. The Aes Sedai had been inside the palace negotiating a treaty between the Domani and the Tarabon when a rebel Tarabon army attacked. She used the One Power to conceal herself until it was safe. Delhia would never forget her words "Princess, you channelled didn’t you?" Delhia didn't answer and the Gray looked impassive. She turned to Mazer, " Perhaps my precious guard, Tar Valon is the safest place for me. Serenla can take the throne until it is safe for my return" Mazer could channel too, the Grays eyes told him as much. He nodded his assent.

Once in the Tower they were separated and Delhia signed her name in the Novice book, and Maker in the Soldiers. In the beginning Delhia was perhaps on one of the more snobbish Novices the Mistress had ever seen. She wanted to be sent home. But the White Tower does not let a channeller go. It was years before she was raised to Accepted, and her true strengths appeared. Besides being strong in air and water, it was also found that she was a dreamwalker, and had a talent for unweaving. She was an Accepted for 8 more years, honing her skills and studying with the Gray Ajah. She tended to keep to herself, poring over book after book about the law. Many thought she lived with the Browns as she was rarely in her own rooms. Since she believed it was to the Gray and Mazer that saved her, she wanted to repay the debt.

Soon after she was raised to the shawl, she was accepted into the Gray Ajah. Mazer sought her out and asked that she marry him, even though they had been separated for more then fifteen years. Delhia put him off saying she would think about it, if he took a trip back to Arad Doman with her. He agreed and they left soon after.

Arriving at her home she warmly greeted Serenla and spent some time with her catching up. The Aes Sedai walked to her rooms with her Asha'man and smiled throwing open the door. Just inside stood a priest prepared to give the marriage rites. The couple was married and once the priest left, Delhia started the bonding. She first wove the intricate net of spirit and watched as it tightened around his head, she became aware of him and sent a crashing wave of love and respect while she waited for him to embrace saidin and do the same. They spent that first night lying peacefully within each others arms. Soon afterwards they completed their duty in Arad Doman and headed back towards the Tower.

Now they have returned, married yet staunch on their respective duties to the Amrylin and the M'Heal.

Delhia stands 5 feet 6 inches, she has striking emerald green eyes and pitch black waist length hair. She wears normal Domani dresses and seems not to care what others think of her own revealing garb. She is a rather slim woman who can easily be missed in a crowd when she so wishes. Delhia is the next in line for the throne after Calypso and Callisto Da'Orin.
