Dyven Abayndra

Some people believe that it doesn’t exist. Thinking it is just another fairy tale. Others claimed to have seen it with their own eyes. A rare few have seen it behind the walls, and even less have managed to escape the walls. The mysterious land that seems to skim the surface of reality and fantasy is most commonly known as Shara. And this is where the young toddler was found, on the shore of one of the Sea Folk trading ports. How she ever managed to get passed the walls remains forever a mystery. The Atha’an Miere took the toddler under their care, teaching her the ways of their people. It was the fifth year when the Seachan attacked the ship. She could hear the screaming up on the deck. Thunder and lightning shook the ship, and then there was blackness.

She awoke in a cell naked, and tried desperately to recall what had happened. How she got here. What was her name? Amnesia had taken its toll. She remembered nothing. It was not difficult to start a new life. The Seanchan had given her the name Anamelia. They had made her a servant of one of the Blood because of her beauty. It was not difficult to start a new life, for she was never able to recall the life she lived before. It was not long before she learned the ways of the Seanchan. However, the luxurious life of a servant did not last long. By her sixth year as a Seanchan she was tested and collared.

The damane life was hard but easily adjustable. Tessa was her new name. Her new mistress was named Mykta. Mykta was always strict. She always thought she knew how to make a damane reach its full potential. Her mistress always pushed her to be better then the newer damanes, sometimes even the older ones that were more experienced. If Tessa failed to please her mistress, she was beaten for hours, deprived of food, and she had to work ten times harder. Mykta had her using so much of the One Power that by the time the day was over, Tessa’s head would be pounding painfully. Pain seemed to be a part of her life during her training. Within two years she was on a ship to help with the Return. By then, Tessa was one of the best on the ship. However, during the first battle she had a total panic attack. It seemed the battle triggered some past memories. Mykta was so outraged that she slashed her across the face with a dagger leaving a long permanent scar across her cheek. Her mistress had shattered the one thing that she prided herself on. Her beauty. Now, Tessa was broken completely.

Tessa had been a damane for at least a hundred years or more, to Tarmon Gaidon and beyond. Although many nations hated the Seachan, they had put their differences aside to aide the Dragon Reborn in defeating the Dark One. After the victorious Rand al’Thor defeated the Dark One, the very few Seachan that survived went into hiding. Mykta and Tessa being some of them. While the Towers of Al’Har were being made, Aes Sedai alike went on a mission to hunt the remaining sul’dam and damane that went into hiding. For the past hundred years or so, Tessa was a hollow shell. Feeling nothing and only knowing to obey the one who held her collar. Eventually the Aes Sedai found them and no matter how hard Tessa struggles, they forced the collar off of her. A few weeks passed in what seemed like seconds as the Aes Sedai tried getting Tessa under control, explaining to her that she did not need the leash and collar to live. She remembered nothing of that, only that somewhere deep inside of her something had been awakened. The Aes Sedai thinking they had gotten Tessa to understand started to make ready for the return trip, little did they know that the former damane was not Tessa. The former damane was some what startled when she found herself off the leash and her mistress no where to be found. She was now in the company of a beautiful woman that called herself one of the Aes Sedai, the very people she was trained to hate. Strangely, she had no desire to capture or kill this woman. Tessa seemed to be totally oblivious to what she was taught. She soon adopted another name. Dyven Abayndra. That was the name she used when she arrived at the White Tower.

Appearance: Dyven’s is very dark skinned. She’s about the height of the average Cairhein with wavy dark hair and tilted eyes. Her eyes tend to shift colors, fitting her ‘mood.’ She is made most of muscle, and she has a tattoo on her left shoulder of a serpent that seemed to have been given to her before she was taken by the Sea Folk.

Personality: Dyven’s personality changes abruptly because she has multiple personalities.
Dyven-she’s the quiet, silent observer type of person that likes to stay as a shadow. Shy. Mysterious in a lot of ways. A mix of the broken Tessa and the servant. Basically the girl when she first became a damane.
Tessa during her training-a lot of motivation. The helpless, intimidated, cry baby type. She has the personality of that of a six year old. Making up for lost time. Low self-esteem type.
Tessa during the Return-She basically disassociated herself. The cold and distant type.
Anamelia- the obedient little child that didn’t know how to think for herself. She thought in black and white terms.
Teslaen din Tulan Swift Breeze-very disciplined and proud. Stubborn. And she had more manly like personality. Aggressive.
Aaessa-this is the toddler just older. She’s the one that curious and always wants to know how things work and why. All of these alters are a part of her still.
