Yazmin Sedai

Yazmin was found while Mother Egwene was still marching her army to the White Tower. Yazmin was brought into the fold and was taught on the road. She was only a mere child when this happened, barely twelve years old. She was not able to take part in the battle for the Tower itself, but when the soldiers began falling she found she was able to heal them. She took her talent and used it to the best of her ability. She healed soldier after soldier, warder after warder, even a sister or two. By the end of the battle she was exhausted and bloody but she knew what she would devote her life to.

When she went through the arches to become Accepted she was shown how her life would have turned out and found that she much preferred the one she had now. When she was showed her life as it was, she became fearful for herself. When she was shown her future she came back completely resolved to learn all that she could about delving and healing. She had no doubts about which Ajah to aspire to. She studied hard and learned all that she could.

By the time Yazmin was raised to the Yellow Ajah she had already mastered every weave that had to do with healing. Knowing that there had to be more to learn she asked for leave to travel the world. She was told that if she found a warder to bond she would be allowed to go. It took her a few years to find one that she was willing and able to trust and share with. Since then she has studied in every town, city and country hunting down the best healers and learning from what they had to offer. When she had passed through every town that boasted a great healer, her warder escorted her across the Aryth Ocean.

She was there for only a couple of years when her warder died. After so many years of being together she found herself unable to cope with being alone. The Empress was gracious enough to allow her to stay and mourn in a home on the palace grounds. It has taken many years to deal with the fear, anger, and deep sadness that his death brought. Coming to terms with herself Yazmin went before the Empress and informed her that the time to return to the Tower had come. Having become close to the Empress it was hard to part, many of the old prejudices were still ingrained but the two of them had managed to get past them and became friends. The Empress had wanted to give Yazmin an entire entourage to see her safely home, but she declined. Yazmin had not been on her own ever and wanted to do this just to prove she could. So she packed up everything she had and found a ship to take her back across the Ocean.

Deciding that it would probably be quicker to get to the Tower from Tear than from any other place the ship was going, Yazmin stayed on board till they came to the Port of Godun. Stepping off in Tear she stayed there a few weeks meeting with the eyes and ears of her Ajah learning what she could about what was happening. Coming to the realization that she was stalling her journey, she forced herself to leave the comfort of her inn. Starting on the final leg of her journey she felt apprehensive. She has been gone from the Tower for so long that she no longer knew if any of her other friends would even be there. She does not even know if they will know anything of her or her travels. It had been years since she had sent word of her movements. She sent a pigeon while in Tear informing the Amrylin of her imminent arrival, but had no way of knowing if it had arrived.

Maintaining her calm appearance she mounts her grey gelding and begins her long ride. Her raven black hair is clasped in a large barrette at the nape of her neck and she wears a yellow divided riding dress. Placing her yellow fringed shawl over her slim shoulders, her soft brown eyes survey the land looking for the easiest path for her horse to traverse. Her small frame is deceptive making her look like an easy target, but her will is strong and has carried her through many things over the past forty years that she has been out in the world.
