Alleria Gaidin

Alleria grew up mostly in the Borderlands. Her Mother, a Maiden of the Spear, threw down her spears after Battling the Shaido in Cairhein. It seemed too much for her that she be part of the Breaking of the Aiel, yet she didn't want to join Couladin either. She knew she believed in Rand Al'Thor, yet she didn't want to be part of all that was happening. She wandered the continent, and came to Fal Dara. There she taught some soldiers the techniques of unarmed fighting. One soldier held her eye and her heart. As she had thrown down her spears and taken more to wetlander custom, she wed the man. Their child was Aelleria.

Aelleria grew up learning to fight. The Borderlands are a harsh place for a child, and her mother insisted that the girl learn to weild a weapon. Aelleria chose the sword and her mother's unarmed fighting techniques. She decided at a young age that she wished to know more of the world and at 16 she left for home to do so. In her travels, she met Rhiann Sedai. A woman who, at first, intrigued and infurtiated her. The woman would say little of herself and less of her aims and insisted on knowing the young Aelleria better. The Blue Aes Sedai was a complete mystery to Aelleria, but she decided to follow the woman......a woman who was full of knowledge and willing to teach. Their travels led them to the White Tower and to Aelleria learning of the Gaiden. They too intrgued her, and after careful deliberation, she decided to join their ranks. If she was to follow the Blue.....she should be able to defend the Blue.

After five years of intense training, Aelleria was raised to Gaiden. A day later she accepted the Bond of Warder to Rhiann Sedai. The two had become close, like sisters over the years, the Bonding seemed only natural. About ten years ago, on a trip to Tear, the two investigated the Red Stone Arch in the Stone. Rhiann Sedai forbid Aelleria to enter, a move that the Gaiden understood but didn't like. While her Sedai was in the Arch, a man attacked her. She had little trouble dispatching him, leaving a thick pool of blood on the floor. Aelleria removed her weapons and her pack and entered the Arch to protect her Sedai. She could fight just as well without weapons, and she felt her Aes Sedai in danger. As she entered, she came across the Aelfinn. They refused to allow her to see Rhiann Sedai, or even speak to her. Aelleria fought hard, but was overwhelmed by the creatures. She was thrown in prison on their world.......and her Bond severed as punishment. She has been recently released and hopes to find her Sedai who she has come to learn still lives. Ten years she was prisoner.........she only hopes her Aes Sedai will have her back.
