About Us

Here's a bit about who we are! ^^

I've gone by the name Etsuko for about two years now. Only one of which has been over Furcadia. Eventually, she came around to the origins of her name and became the smiley Daimyo of Kawatoshi.

Feeling a lack of good places for 'Japanese' furres to RP/PP, I took upon the task of giving it a try and building Onsen Mizukami (a.k.a. Mizukami Hot Spring). It did pretty well in AI and many encouraged me to make a guild.

To make a long story short, here we are! I hope I live up to everyone's expectations for this guild.

Kawatoshi and Mizukami center around Japanese style Edo-esque Roleplay/ persona play. There will of course be 'foreigners' who wander our peaceful little town, adding a unique mixture of furres but at the same time letting everyone feel welcome.

*Being a Japanese village, it is assumed that the residents would speak Japanese. I've thought about this for a while and noting that not everyone will be on the same level, decided it would be best if when your character is speaking in Japanese please include the translation in < >. Or simply type in < > to indicate that you are speaking in Japanese. (We all know how this works, right?) If you have any questions with this or can think of a better method, drop me a line. ^_^ I'm always open to suggestions.

Most would probably have some trouble knowing the signs on the buildings and such so from here on I will be giving a little tour. ^^

Japan Trade Co.

This little building is most likely the first you will see as you enter Kawatoshi. It houses the Trade Co. which deals with import/export of goods, an infirmary, money lender, and free lodging upstairs.

Japan Trade Co

Public Baths

These are the baths open to the public! (Who would have guessed o.o;;) PLEASE NOTE! The women are on the LEFT and the men are on the RIGHT. Kawatoshi will not be held responsible for any lost limbs acquired by walking into the wrong bath. ^_~

The Dancing Rabbit

No, this isn't a lapine strip joint. Sorry to disappoint. This is the tavern/ restaurant of Kawatoshi. Additional seating is available on request.

Blacksmith and Weapons Shop

The local Blacksmith keeps shop in the building on the left. Here you can have weapons repaired or custom weapons forged.

The building on the right houses a shop for basic weapons. Please note: Only Samurai can buy Katana.

Teahouse

The local teahouse and gardens are available to entertain guests in the traditional art of Japanese Tea Ceremony.

Ramen and Kimono Shops

The store on the left houses the little Ramen (noodle) shop. A good place to sit down to a bowl of hot Ramen and warm sake.

The shop on the right is where you want to go when looking for a new kimono. Custom made.

The Cherry Blossom Theater

Local theater specializing in traditional Japanese plays.

Dojo

The Dojo Master (Sasaki Kensou) teaches a blend of Iaijutsu and Kenjutsu here. This is also the location for any official tournaments.

Houses with the following signs out front are as follows. ^^ Contact me if you would like to have one! (First come first serve!)

* All homes are currently taken. Free lodging can be found in the Trade Co upstairs.
