May 28th '00 Rock Krawl in the Catskills of NY, Monticello, NY

My friend Dan and I made the trip to NY this year for the annual Rock Krawl put on by OK4WD in Stewartsville, NJ.  I ran the intermediate trails this year since I had FINALLY gotten that crossmember welded up REAL strong.  We had a blast!  The group met up at 9am on a farm, there were about 70 trucks all together running the stock, intermediate, and hardcore trails.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to get alot of pictures, being that I was driving, you know how it is. ;-)  Also my camera froze up while rewinding, so I lost quite a few pics from the start of the day. :-(

THE FIRST BIG OBSTACLE

This "little" trench looked innocent enough but the mud was EXTREMELY slick and the water was pretty deep in some areas, about 95% of the trucks had to be winched through, including me, darn all terrains!  The trucks with mud tires fared MUCH better on this trip, can't wait till I get mine in July!
