There are various reasons why you might not be having sex. Here are a few I can think of:

You are single.
You or your partner is away on business or works often.
You dislike hormonal contraception, but don't want to risk pregnancy.
You don't want to risk HIV or other sexually transmitted diseases.
There may be many, many other reasons why you're not having sex. However, stopping sex doesn't stop the human, sexual drives within yourself. (In fact, studies have shown that men who ejaculate more often live longer than men who don't, and women can relieve menstrual discomfort through masturbation!) You still need a sexual outlet, and masturbation provides that. You can masturbate by yourself or with a partner. Sex toys provide a sexy alternative to intercourse that feels great and is a lot of fun.
