This is a JDM version of the D16Z6 Honda SOHC VTEC motor. This is another of my wonderful things I have bought off of Ebay. What you see here cost me $775 with shipping to my house just like this just wrapped in plastic really well. I got the motor on Tuesday March 23, 2004. I also ordered a Clutch Masters Stage 1 clutch and a clear distributor to go with it. I am trying to get Nathan Simmons help me swap it into my car at his house since he has done it before and knows what to do. I believe the motor puts out roughly around 135 horsepower compared to my old motor that put out 70 horsepower at the most. So, I am getting about twice the power and a lot better clutch for around $1,300.
You can see that the motor is still attached to the palate. One of the tie downs goes over the valve cover where it says vtec and all that. This is the side where the transmission hooks up to my stock transmission. This motor was compression tested at 210 on all four cylinders and that is as good as it gets. When looking at it up close it doesnt even look that old, everything looks really new.
