In this picture you can see the two notches that we made so that the rockbars could be welded to the frame. At the third welding point nothing is in the way so you dont need to make notches. You can see the driverside rockbar sittin on the ground on the otherside of the truck. The lowest thing in the center of my Toyota is my transefer case and the crossmember that holds it. Once I get the money I plan on getting either a Budbuilt crossmember or the All Pro Off Road one. They save about two inches from under the transfer case and protect it better from rocks, stumps, and other debri off roading.
To test the rockbars you are supposed to jack up the truck by the rockbars. So, I pulled my hi-lift out of the tool box and tried it. The rockbars didnt even budge and I was able to lift the front wheels off the ground.
